Quality assurance

Quality assurance system is further developed to reflect the student-centeredness of study programmes

Based on the achievements of the previous Twinning Project “Support to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for further adherence of the higher education system to the European Higher Education Area” (implemented from 2015 to 2017), the system of quality assurance is further refined. In particular, standards for program accreditation will be developed to fully adhere to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area with reference to the requirements on student-centered approaches.

Key deliverables

  • A study visit of up to 7 MoE members is organized in an EU Member State on student-centeredness of study programs.
  • A study visit of up to 7 MoE members is organized in an EU Member State on Quality Assurance in the EHEA;
  • A pool of reviewers, including student representatives and representatives of the labour market is trained.
  • A minimum of 4 mock accreditations of study programmes are conducted;
  • A minimum of 12 self-evaluation reports for the pilot study programmes are compiled.
  • Standards for programme accreditation are improved.
  • A handbook on self-evaluation processes of HEI is developed.
  • A training workshop for higher education institutions on self-evaluation is conducted.
