Pilot universities trained on how to write a self-assessment report

The first mission under the Activity 3.4 Hold a training workshop for higher education institutions on how to conduct self-evaluation process of the  Twinning project  took place from 11 to 15 March 2019.

The mission was implemented by short-term experts Jolita Butkiene, Director of Quality Center at ISM University of Management and Economics of Lithuania and Ms. Asnate Kazoka, expert at the Academic Information Center of Latvia.

The objective of the mission was to train relevant people from the higher education institutions selected as pilots on how to conduct a self-evaluation of study programmes. To this end, trainings on how to write a self-evaluation report were organized in Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku State University and Azerbaijan Technical University.

The participants mainly featured deans/vice-deans, heads/deputy heads of departments and members of the teaching staff. In total, the trainings covered 6 pilot study programmes selected from among Natural Sciences, Educational Sciences and Engineering Sciences.

The trainings were followed by a plenary session which brought together the training participants who are going to write self-evaluation reports in order to discuss all outstanding issues related to the self-evaluation process.

A total of 128 participants representing Baku State University, Azerbaijan Sate Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Oil and Industry University, Baku Engineering University, Sumgait State University and Khazar University participated in the trainings altogether.
